In 2011, I built a backyard cottage entirely out of recycled materials for a client with severe chemical sensitivities. Due to an exposure in her own house, she was forced to sleep outside or in her car for a number of months. Since the winter rains were coming, she needed a covered space to stretch out, sleep and write, since she is a writer and researcher.
